When:  Sunday, November 21 from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Optional:  Join Karen for Mindful Movement and Breathing Practices from 12:15 – 12:50 p.m. prior to the training.

Tuition Fee includes written materials and downloadable audio meditations from the training.  Plus access to the MBSR 2.o – Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N. Online Resource Library until January 30, 2022.

Note:  Group size for this training is limited, so register early to confirm your spot.  MBSR 2.0 Programs are only for those who have completed the MBSR 8-Week Program with Karen.

What if you cannot attend the live training on Sunday, November 21?

For those how wish to experience the recordings at their convenience, this program is available for purchase.  The audio meditations and video recordings from Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N. will be available until January 30, 2022.   The audio meditations will also be available to download to your computer for ongoing practice during 2022 and beyond.

The audio and video recordings will be available from this training by Thursday, November 25.


Program Description:  MBSR 2.0 – Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N.

Join other MBSR graduates to practice what you know and remember what you have forgotten as you are inspired to deepen your evolution of the life transforming R.A.I.N. practice.

During this training, you will experience Karen’s unique blend of guidance, stillness meditations, and inner reflections designed to help you during the 2021 holiday season and beyond to:

  • Access your capacity to reframe difficulties on-the-spot.
  • Live from a possibility mindset.
  • Cultivate a curious, caring presence in the midst of (inner and outer) challenges.
  • Use your unique circumstances during the holidays to engage and deepen your practice of R.A.I.N. and continue this path during 2022 and beyond.

Program Highlights:  MBSR 2.0 – Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N.

  • Actively engage in practicing R.A.I.N. as a pathway to freedom during the holidays and beyond.
  • Learn potent R.A.I.N. “mantras” (reminders) that can become like faithful companions on your mindfulness journey.
  • Experience Karen’s creative experiential meditations that will re-inspire you to practice R.A.I.N. formally and informally.
  • The audio meditations from this training will be recorded and posted on the MBSR 2.0 Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N. Online Resource Library for you to continue to meditate with during the holiday season or download to your computer for a lifetime of practice.
  • Review the selected video recordings from the training on the MBSR 2.0 Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N. Online Resource Library until January 30.
  • Join the optional bonus Mindful Movement and Breathing session from 12:15 – 12:50 p.m. prior to the training and experience a refreshing sequence while standing (or sitting in a chair).  Note:  If you can’t attend the pre-training Mindful Movement and Breathing session, it will be recorded and posted on the MBSR 2.0 Online Resource Library for you to practice with until January 30, 2022.

Program Structure:  MBSR 2.0 – Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N.

  • This training will begin with a lying down or seated meditation practice followed by an engaging exploration on how to Evolve Your Practice of R.A.I.N.
  • Using slides to support the material, you will be reflecting on a variety of questions, poems and encouraging words to apply R.A.I.N. to your unique life circumstances during the holidays and beyond.
  • There will be a variety of guided experiential meditations throughout the training to move from the conceptual understanding of R.A.I.N. to the embodied integration of R.A.I.N.  
  • As a way to inspire each other’s ongoing practice of R.A.I.N., there will be some time to share your experiences and insights from the training with the group.
  • The training will end with a guided meditation to summarize your overall integration of R.A.I.N. into your life.
  • You will be encouraged to continue to practice with the audio meditations after the training and review the videos (if helpful) until January 30.

MBSR 2.0 – Your Mindful Evolution of R.A.I.N. is specifically designed for MBSR graduates who:

  • Have an established mindfulness practice and are interested in deepening their formal and informal practices.
  • Would like to re-engage with their formal and informal mindfulness practices.
  • Are interested in being aligned with their optimal well-being.

Technology Requirements:  This MBSR 2.0 Online Program will be delivered live through the Zoom video platform. The requirements for Zoom to work properly include having a computer with speakers, microphone and video capabilities (webcam) along with a high-speed internet connection. Mobile devices (phones and tablets) may work although the class material is optimized for full screen viewing with a computer.

Also, you will receive the digital version of the class materials (slides and handouts). If you want to use the paper copy during class time instead of the digital version you will need a printer.

MBSR 2.0 Online Program – Terms and Conditions (“Terms”)

Before submitting your payment, you will be asked to read and agree to comply with the following Terms:                                                               

The MBSR 2.0 is an educational and experiential training in the methods of mindfulness, meditation, gentle yoga, walking meditation and other mindful movements. During this program I will be encouraged to practice these methods appropriate to my abilities and to never push beyond my capabilities. During the mindful movement sessions, if I experience any pain or discomfort, I will listen to my body, discontinue the activity and ask for support from the teacher, Karen Sothers. I understand I am under no obligation to engage in these methods nor will I hold Karen Sothers liable for any injuries or harm incurred from these methods. I assume full responsibility for my experience in this program and for any harm which may incur from these methods during the group classes or on my own in-between group classes.

The MBSR 2.0 is not a substitute for medical care, examination, diagnosis or treatment or a substitute for psychotherapy. If I am under the care of a medical provider, psychiatrist, and/or psychotherapist, I have consulted with my physician and/or therapist about my ability to participate in MBSR 2.0 and I have received the appropriate approval from my health care providers.

I assume all risk for any physical and mental health consequences of participating in the MBSR 2.0 with Karen Sothers.  Before completing my payment transaction, I will be required to check/click the box that I have read and agree to comply with these Terms.  This will serve as my signature that I am confirming a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law in the State of California.

All materials (audio, video, program manual, written materials, hand-outs, power point slides, etc.) created by Karen Sothers for the MBSR 2.0 are copyrighted to Karen, who reserves all rights.  The MBSR 2.0 materials are for my personal use only and I agree not to copy, reproduce, share or distribute Karen’s materials with others in any form.

What if I am unable to attend the live MBSR 2.0 online trainings?

The selected audio and video recordings of the live training will be posted on the MBSR 2.0 Online Resource Library for the specific program you have purchased to review for a limited time.  You will be able to download the audio meditations to your computer for lifetime access or listen directly from the MBSR 2.0 Online Resource Library for a limited time. You can also review the selected video recordings on the MBSR 2.0 Online Resource Library for a limited time but the videos are not available for download.  There are no refunds for the MBSR 2.0 Online Programs.
