Optional:  Join Karen for Mindful Movement and Breathing Practices from 5:00 – 5:25 p.m. before each session.

Program Description – MBSR 2.0 Mindfully Thriving During the Holidays

  • Learn how to pivot from the mindset of “as soon as the holidays are over then I will meditate, breath, relax, eat mindfully, sleep deeply, take good care of myself,” to accessing the mindset that the holidays are a potent opportunity to strengthen and deepen your formal and informal mindfulness practices of self-care.
  • Reconnect with how to nourish yourself (physically, mentally, emotionally) and be inspired to continue during the holidays and beyond.

Program Highlights – MBSR 2.0 – Mindfully Thriving During the Holidays

  • Experience two guided meditations during each session that will be recorded and posted on the MBSR 2.0 Holiday Thriving web page for you to continue to meditate with during the 2020 Holidays (or download to your computer).
  • Actively engage in creating your personalized guidebook for Mindfully Thriving During the Holidays to meet your own unique circumstances.
  • Review the selected video recordings from each session on the MBSR 2.0 Holiday Thriving web page until January 4.
  • Join the optional bonus Mindful Movement and Breathing session each Wednesday from 5:00 – 5:25 p.m. for a refreshing 3-part Joint Freeing Series while standing or sitting in a chair.  Videos of the Mindful Movement and Breathing series will be posted on the MBSR 2.0 Holiday Thriving web page for you to practice with during the 2020 Holiday season.

Program Structure – MBSR 2.0 Mindfully Thriving During the Holidays

Each session will begin with a lying down or seated meditation practice followed by an engaging exploration on How to Mindfully Thrive During the Holidays using slides to support the material.  You will be reflecting on a variety of questions, poems and encouraging words to create your own unique Holiday Guidebook.  As a way to inspire each other, there will be some time to share your experiences and insights with the group. Each session will complete with a guided meditation to deepen the integration of what we explored together.  You will be encouraged to continue to practice with the guided meditations between sessions and throughout the holidays.

The MBSR 2.0 Mindfully Thriving During the Holidays program is specifically designed for MBSR graduates who:

  • Have an established mindfulness practice and are interested in deepening their formal and informal practices.
  • Would like to re-engage with their formal and informal mindfulness practices.
  • Are interested in being aligned with their optimal well-being during the holidays and beyond.

Technology Requirements:  This MBSR 2.0 Online Program will be delivered live through the Zoom video platform. The requirements for Zoom to work properly include having a computer with speakers, microphone and video capabilities (webcam) along with a high-speed internet connection. Mobile devices (phones and tablets) may work although the class material is optimized for full screen viewing with a computer.

Also, you will receive the digital version of the class materials (slides, holiday guidebook, etc). If you want to use the paper copy during class time instead of the digital version you will need a printer.

What if I am unable to attend the live MBSR 2.0 online trainings?

Two business days after the MBSR 2.0 live trainings, the selected audio and video recordings of the live training will be posted on the MBSR 2.0 Online web page for your review.  You will be able to download the audio meditations to your computer or listen directly from the MBSR 2.0 Online web page for a limited time. You can also review the selected video recordings on the MBSR 2.0 Online web page for a limited time but the videos are not available for download.  There are no refunds for the MBSR 2.0 Online Programs.
